ANJALI NANDI, MA, LAC, MAC is Program Director at the Center for Change.  She is a licensed counselor with
extensive experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents in both English and
Spanish.  Her therapeutic orientation includes body-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral, solution focused therapy
and EMDR related trauma resolution.  

As a consultant and trainer, Anjali Nandi designs and delivers a variety of training seminars in the fields of addictions
and corrections to state and local agencies throughout the country on topics as varied as adult and juvenile
assessment; curriculum building; program evaluation; cognitive skill-building; motivational interviewing; quality
assurance; group facilitation; and training of trainers.

Anjali Nandi’s credentials include a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology, a State of Colorado Licensed Addictions
Counselor, a Nationally Certified Master Addictions Counselor, Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing therapist and a member of the International Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.  

In addition to this clinical and consulting work, Anjali Nandi has compiled a cognitive behavioral treatment curriculum,
Alternatives, for high-risk adolescents and has co-authored Probation and Parole Treatment Planner published by
Wiley (2003).   

ELBERT HARTMAN, MA, CAC III is Clinical Director of the Center for Change.  He earned both his Bachelor’s and
Master’s degrees in Psychology from Naropa University.  He specializes in working with individuals, families and
groups focusing on addiction, trauma, mood disorders and relationship dynamics. He has worked extensively with
adults and at-risk adolescents in the criminal justice system with high success in reducing relapse rates.  Additionally,
he has provided therapy for clients with a wide range of mental health diagnoses including personality disorders and
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. As a long-term meditation practitioner, Elbert combines meditation with Gestalt
psychotherapy and Enneagram typology to enhance the effectiveness of psychotherapy.

MIRIAM BECKER, MA, CAC II earned a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from Naropa University in 1998.  She
currently has a private psychotherapy practice in Boulder.  She has many years experience leading groups in self-
esteem work and addictions.  She has also facilitated outdoor experiential for young people in trouble with the law.  
Miriam has also worked with Native Americans in a Residential Rehabilitation Center.

BRANDY QUEEN, MA has BA and MA degrees in psychology and works therapeutically with both individuals and
groups.  She has extensive volunteer and clinical experience in the areas of sexual assault, substance abuse, trauma,
and general mood disorders.  Her training is in relational and transpersonal psychologies and she utilizes mindfulness
training, cognitive-behavioral work, and Gestalt techniques in therapy.

JOE SOMA, MA, MS, CHT has a degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, an MS in
Biochemistry from the University of Scranton, and is a certified Hakomi therapist. He is currently in private practice with
offices in Boulder, Denver, and Longmont where he works with individuals, couples, and families. He has two years of
experience with adjudicated adolescents in both Wilderness and Residential settings. He has group experience in the
areas of Domestic Violence, Parenting, Anxiety in children, and Drug and Alcohol groups with Adolescents.
